Senior GCP DevOps for a Lugano bank

About the job For one of our banking clients in Lugano, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer with proven experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to strengthen the Cloud & Platform Engineering team. Responsibilities Manage and optimize the bank’s GCP infrastructure, ensuring high standards of efficiency, availability, and security. Analyze and resolve operational user tickets, performing in-depth troubleshooting through log analysis and system events. Automate and standardize provisioning, updating, and management processes of the infrastructure using tools such as Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform. Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve the cloud platform and support the delivery of digital services. Mandatory RequirementsExcellent knowledge and proven hands-on experience with: Linux (advanced administration, scripting, performance tuning) Ansible Terraform Kubernetes (administration, troubleshooting, resource management) Strong practical knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with particular focus on: Creation, updating, and management of GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) clusters Networking (VPC, Firewall Rules, Load Balancing) Compute Engine Cloud SQL IAM (Identity and Access Management) Preferred Requirements Experience with DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines GCP certifications (Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Kubernetes Engine) Experience in banking or regulated environments What We Offer Permanent contract and competitive salary Continuous training and certification opportunities Dynamic and technologically advanced environment Work location: Ticino, partially in SmartWorking from Switzerland Pre-requisites: you must be in possession of a work permit valid for Swiss territory or have the nationality of a European nation
