About the job
We are looking for a Lead Data DevOps Engineer to join our team and take charge of designing and maintaining infrastructure on Azure using Terraform.
You will support both frontend and backend teams by managing application environments and optimizing data platforms. If you are ready to lead impactful projects and collaborate with diverse teams, we encourage you to apply.
Feel free to work remotely from anywhere across Lithuania or connect with colleagues at our Vilnius and Kaunas offices.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code for Azure, ensuring environments are consistent, repeatable, and compliant
Build, provision, and support application environments for Frontend and Backend Java teams using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure DevOps pipelines
Administer and optimize Databricks workspaces and clusters; support DataOps processes around platform setup, configuration, governance, and cost control
Identify gaps in current infrastructure, build, and release processes; propose and implement improvements to reliability, security, performance, and developer efficiency
Develop automation tooling in Python to extend Azure DevOps capabilities (e.g. pipeline logic, governance automation, environment bootstrap, operational tasks)
Work closely with Development Tech Leads and architects to align infrastructure design with application requirements and non-functional requirements (scalability, security, availability)
Enforce automation and platform standards, including security hardening, least-privilege access, and auditability across environments
Produce and maintain clear documentation (infrastructure design, IaC modules, runbooks) and implement unit tests / validation for automation code and Terraform modules
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps / DataOps / Platform Engineer role with a strong focus on Azure and Infrastructure as Code
Deep understanding of core Azure services, including virtual networking (VNets), Private Endpoints, Web Application Firewall, API Gateway / API Management, Azure Monitor / Application Insights, Virtual Machines, and messaging/streaming services such as Event Hub / Event Bus
Strong practical experience with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service), including cluster provisioning, configuration, scaling, workload deployment, and basic troubleshooting
Strong knowledge of Terraform (module design, state management, environment promotion) and Azure DevOps Pipelines (build/release pipelines, approvals, multi-stage workflows)
Demonstrated ability to drive DevOps culture: collaborating with development teams, enabling self-service, improving delivery flow, and promoting automation-first practices
Fluent English (spoken and written), able to communicate clearly across engineering teams and stakeholders
