About the role You will join the Developer Platform (D4P) team, responsible for operating and optimizing core DevOps and CI/CD services used across a large, cloud‑native internal platform. The role focuses on operational readiness, platform stability, automation, and ensuring reliable deployments in a Kubernetes‑based, hybrid environment. Your responsibilities Consulting on CI/CD pipelines and validating deployment artifacts from an operations perspective Defining and enforcing quality standards for deployments (documentation, test reports, operational readiness) Ensuring rollback strategies and production observability are in place Monitoring system health, performance, and availability across multi‑tenant environments Incident, problem, and change management, including root cause analysis and preventive actions Automating recurring operational processes to reduce toil and improve reliability Implementing monitoring and logging to support security, audit, and compliance requirements Performing routine security scans and supporting vulnerability remediation Reviewing, improving, and enforcing runbooks and operational documentation Managing a small team while remaining hands‑on and contributing to program initiatives Must have Minimum 5 years of operational experience with self‑managed Kubernetes clusters (on‑premise or private environments) Strong understanding of networking concepts (protocols, load balancing, security) Proven experience with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g. GitLab, Jenkins, Tekton, Argo Workflows, Argo CD) Solid knowledge of operational processes: incident, change, problem management, ITSM, and SRE concepts Experience working with observability and monitoring, including SLI/SLA/SLO definition and tracking Hands‑on experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) Strong documentation skills and experience enforcing clear runbooks and playbooks Very good command of English (minimum C1) Nice to have Project experience in software engineering (Go, C/C++, or Python) Experience building RESTful services in distributed environments Broader exposure to platform engineering or internal developer platforms What we offer Remote work model with occasional visits to Berlin and/or Hamburg Participation in a long‑term, international platform program High technical ownership and real impact on operational standards Stable cooperation and transparent rules Access to modern DevOps and cloud‑native technologies Collaboration with experienced engineers in a knowledge‑sharing culture Recruitment process HR Interview Online technical interview Decision and feedback
