About the job
At Segura®, our DevOps team is the backbone that lets every engineering team build, test, and ship safely — and as we grow, the platform has to grow with us.
We're looking for a mid-level DevOps Engineer who wants to build and run that platform with us, not just execute tickets. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes to understand what's happening under the hood — pipelines, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, and the automations that make everyone else faster.
If you're proactive, take ownership of what you build, and care more about real results than buzzwords, you'll feel at home here.
Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to reduce lead time and keep deploys safe
Write and evolve Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/OpenTofu across GCP and AWS — versioned, immutable, reproducible
Operate and fine-tune Kubernetes clusters: scaling, upgrades, security, and cost
Build automations, custom controllers, and internal tools in Go and Python to eliminate toil and give engineering teams more autonomy
Make sure every change holds our security and compliance bar — it's the core of what Segura does
Document what you build, review your peers' work, and keep improving the developer experience
Work side by side with developers to remove friction, not to act as a gatekeeper
Requirements
3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure (or equivalent real-world experience)
Real, demonstrable experience: you can walk us through projects you actually worked on — what you did, **how** you did it, and what changed because of it
Kubernetes in production (not just labs or tutorials)
Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or OpenTofu — you write and maintain it, not just run it
Solid Linux and containers (Docker/Podman)
CI/CD with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar — what matters is building pipelines from scratch; the specific tool is easy to pick up
At least one cloud at a strong level: GCP or AWS
Scripting in Python or Go
You use AI in your day-to-day and understand how the tooling works (e.g., Claude Code, AI coding agents/harnesses)
English proficiency
Nice to Have
Public personal projects on GitHub or GitLab — we love seeing what you build on your own
Both Go and Python at a strong level
GitOps and declarative infrastructures
Depth across multiple clouds (GCP and AWS)
Internal Developer Portals (Backstage, Port)
