About The Role We are seeking a motivated and passionate DevOps & Cloud Engineer to join our team, either in Konstanz, Berlin, or remotely. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our diverse clients by developing and maintaining their operational infrastructure and cloud environments. Your responsibilities will span across infrastructure management, application deployment, and cloud strategy implementation, ensuring our clients' systems are scalable, reliable, and secure. As an integral member of a cross-functional team, you will develop features across infrastructure, applications, and cloud platforms, actively participate in the entire development lifecycle, and optimize CI/CD pipelines based on GitLab CI, Kubernetes, and cloud services. Your expertise will help enhance the quality of our deliverables through code reviews and pair programming, while also shaping and implementing cloud architectures aligned with best practices and client requirements. Monitoring and performance tuning of cloud environments will be part of your daily tasks to ensure optimal performance and security. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a completed degree or comparable qualification in computer science or related fields. You should have practical experience designing and implementing DevOps processes, preferably within agile software development environments. Hands-on experience with Linux, containerization (OCI/Docker), CI/CD tools such as GitLab and Jenkins, version control systems like Git, automation tools like Ansible, and cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is essential. Knowledge of Java web application administration and cloud services will be advantageous. A strong motivation to work in an agile environment and a keen interest in continuous learning about emerging technologies, especially in cloud computing, are highly valued. Excellent command of German (minimum C1 level) is required to effectively communicate within our team and with clients. Responsibilities Support clients by developing and managing their operational infrastructure, including Git, GitOps, Kubernetes, Linux, Apache, and Java web applications, on cloud platforms. Act as a versatile team member, developing features across infrastructure, application, and cloud environments. Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle, focusing on optimizing CI/CD pipelines utilizing GitLab CI, Kubernetes, and cloud services. Conduct code reviews and engage in pair programming to improve code quality and facilitate knowledge sharing. Design and implement cloud strategies and architectures to ensure scalability, resilience, and security of client applications. Monitor cloud environments for performance and security issues, implementing necessary optimizations and safeguards.
