About The Role
The Systems Engineer at Element Care plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting a comprehensive Windows infrastructure that caters to the organization’s critical operations. This position requires a highly skilled professional capable of overseeing enterprise-scale Windows Server environments across various platforms including on-premise, physical, virtual, VMware, Citrix, and Nutanix. The ideal candidate will ensure system stability, optimize performance, and uphold security standards to facilitate uninterrupted business functions. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure enhancements, participate in modernization projects, and lead technical initiatives such as server migrations and cloud integrations. This role demands a proactive individual with a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to continuous learning to keep pace with emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience managing mid-large Windows Server environments in a corporate setting.
Extensive expertise with Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting, SQL, and VMware virtualization technologies.
In-depth knowledge of Windows security hardening, patch management, and upgrade procedures.
Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex infrastructure issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
A self-motivated individual passionate about emerging technologies and committed to continuous professional development.
Covid vaccination preferred.
Responsibilities
Configure, administer, and support enterprise-scale Windows Server environments across on-premise, physical, virtual, VMware, Citrix, and Nutanix platforms, ensuring optimal stability, performance, and security.
Monitor system health and performance using tools such as LogicMonitor, proactively identifying and resolving issues to prevent downtime.
Respond to urgent and escalated support cases, including after-hours and weekend incidents, to maintain continuous operations in mission-critical environments.
Participate in infrastructure planning, lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives aimed at enhancing system reliability and scalability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production systems, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement solutions effectively.
Implement and uphold security best practices, including antivirus deployment, encryption, and secure authentication mechanisms to safeguard organizational assets.
Lead or assist with technical projects such as server migrations, new software deployments, and cloud integration efforts.
Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and improvements to optimize performance and security.
Manage patch management processes to ensure systems are up-to-date and protected against vulnerabilities.
Perform additional duties as required to support organizational IT infrastructure and strategic objectives.
