OVERVIEW
At Orion, we are seeking a Systems Engineer to serve as the Ambulatory Patient Accounting Application Owner. This opportunity will drive the transition from legacy applications to integrated Epic capabilities and/or implement new Epic features to align technology with operational goals and enhance workflows that support streamlined Revenue Cycle operations.
OPPORTUNITY
9-month contract with extension; Fully Remote (U.S. – Central Time Zone)
SALARY
$115,000 – $130,000 W2 contract plus health benefits
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the evaluation and implementation of ambulatory patient accounting features and solutions to replace or enhance existing application functionalities.
Define and maintain ambulatory patient accounting product vision, roadmap, and growth strategy.
Identify opportunities for product conversion and innovation within the domain requirements.
Develop and manage the application roadmap, considering lifecycle, strategic alignment, growth and value for the technology application stack for a specific functional domain.
Collaborates with vendor, market, business, informatics and clinical stakeholders.
Represent the ambulatory patient accounting domain in governance forums.
Communicate product and technology roadmaps into the governance processes.
KEY EXPERIENCE
Experience with implementing and supporting ambulatory patient accounting platforms/applications such as Athena, Ingenious Med, etc.
Experience with providing technical leadership in ambulatory patient accounting solutions, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and customers
Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for ambulatory patient accounting solutions, including design, and justifying technical recommendations
Proven ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
Experience supporting and implement Epic PB, and/or ambulatory HIM and Coding solutions a plus
Proven ability to work independently and manage one’s time
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience preferred
INTERVIEW PROCESS
Quick turnaround: preliminary interview followed by team interview on phone and Google Meets.
Typically, one round with the hiring manager, joined by the team (virtual interview), possibly two rounds if necessary.
