Staff Systems Engineer - Digital

About the job For our client, we are seeking a Staff Systems Engineer - Digital to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a healthcare environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $130,295 – $260,590 annually Responsibilities Define and own enterprise data architecture strategy for operational, analytical, and AI/ML workloads Design and govern data models and contracts for product and platform teams Evaluate and standardize data platform tooling like data lakes and warehouses Serve as primary point of contact for shared data platform concerns across teams Own data governance frameworks including classification and quality standards Design data architectures supporting AI/ML model training and inference pipelines Collaborate with teams to understand data needs and deliver architectural solutions Qualifications 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud-native data platforms - GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub), Azure Synapse 5+ years of experience with data governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements Strong communication skills for translating complex data architecture decisions to diverse audiences Deep expertise in relational and non-relational data modeling methodologies Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid time off to support work-life balance Retirement savings options to help plan for the future Wellness programs and resources for emotional well-being Eligibility for short-term incentives and company equity award programs Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
