Build the Future of AI-Powered Communications
Peerlogic is building the next generation AI communications platform for healthcare.
Today, millions of businesses still rely on legacy, stand-alone VoIP systems. We’re replacing them with a fully integrated, cloud-native communications platform built on FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, Kubernetes, and AI.
We’re looking for a Staff or Senior DevOps Engineer who enjoys building highly available infrastructure at scale. While telecommunications experience is important, this is fundamentally an infrastructure engineering role focused on automation, reliability, scalability, and cloud-native architecture.
This is not a PBX administrator position.
You’ll help build the platform that powers AI voice agents, intelligent call routing, messaging, analytics, and communications for thousands of healthcare organizations.
What You’ll Build
You’ll design, deploy, and operate a modern telecommunications platform that includes:
FreeSWITCH clusters
Kamailio SIP infrastructure
Kubernetes orchestration
Telnyx carrier integrations
AI voice services
Provisioning APIs
Call routing services
Voice recording
Monitoring and observability
High-availability architecture
Disaster recovery
CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
You’ll work closely with engineering leadership to build infrastructure that is secure, resilient, automated, and capable of supporting rapid growth.
Responsibilities
Design and operate highly available Kubernetes infrastructure
Build and maintain FreeSWITCH and Kamailio production environments
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments
Develop CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
Design secure, scalable SIP infrastructure
Integrate with telecom carriers including Telnyx
Optimize system performance, call quality, and platform reliability
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability
Develop provisioning APIs and operational tooling
Troubleshoot complex Linux, networking, SIP, and RTP issues
Collaborate with AI engineers to integrate voice intelligence services
Improve platform scalability, resiliency, and security
What We’re Looking ForRequired Experience
7+ years of DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering experience
Production experience with Kubernetes and Docker
Strong Linux systems administration
Experience designing highly available distributed systems
Strong networking knowledge (TCP/UDP, DNS, NAT, TLS, firewalls, load balancing)
Experience building CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
Strong written and spoken English
Telecommunications Experience
Candidates should also have experience with several of the following:
FreeSWITCH
Kamailio or OpenSIPS
SIP
RTP
Carrier integrations
VoIP or UCaaS platforms
CPaaS infrastructure
Nice to Have
Google Cloud Platform or AWS
PostgreSQL
Redis
Go, Python, or Node.js
Helm
Prometheus
Grafana
Loki
OpenTelemetry
Homer SIP Capture
Experience building CPaaS or UCaaS platforms
AI voice or speech-processing systems
Telnyx integrations
What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you’ll help us:
Launch a production-ready telecommunications platform
Successfully migrate customers from legacy VoIP infrastructure
Build fully automated deployment and provisioning pipelines
Deliver carrier-grade reliability and uptime
Scale the platform to support tens of thousands of concurrent users
Enable AI-powered communications across our product suite
Who You Are
You enjoy building platforms—not simply maintaining servers.
You think like an owner, automate repetitive work, and enjoy solving difficult infrastructure problems.
You’re equally comfortable discussing Kubernetes architecture, Linux performance tuning, distributed systems, and SIP call flows.
You thrive in fast-moving startups where you’ll have significant ownership and influence over technical direction.
Why Peerlogic?
You’ll join a small, highly technical engineering team building one of the most advanced AI communications platforms in healthcare.
You’ll help shape the future architecture of the platform while working with modern cloud infrastructure, telecommunications technologies, and AI.
This is an opportunity to build something from the ground up—not inherit someone else’s legacy infrastructure.
