Staff Accountant

Accountabilities Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts, ensuring financial records remain accurate and up to date. Prepare, review, and issue monthly financial statements while meeting quality standards and reporting deadlines. Create and maintain supporting schedules for accrued expenses, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet accounts. Complete quality assurance reviews prior to issuing financial reports and update reporting summaries with key monthly insights. Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies by analyzing transactions and supporting documentation. Maintain strong accounting controls by following established policies, procedures, and compliance standards. Respond to financial reporting inquiries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. Participate in internal and external audits while supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. At least 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting position. Experience preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, account analysis, and financial reporting best practices. Hands-on experience using accounting software and financial management systems. Previous experience in HOA, COA, or property management accounting is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple financial reports accurately and efficiently. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a commitment to continuous process improvement. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
