About the job Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS/DevOps) Contract duration: until end of 2026 Chances of extension: very light Location: fully remote with Canada (withing Canada only and must accommodate EST time zone) Main Deliverables Build and maintain secure cloud-based file transfer and data processing solutions on AWS. Automate infrastructure deployment and application delivery through Terraform and GitHub Actions. Ensure secure, reliable, and scalable operation of AWS serverless workloads and platform services. Technical Stack AWS Serverless Services AWS Transfer Family (Mandatory) AWS S3 AWS EventBridge AWS IAM AWS VPC mTLS (Mutual TLS) and Certificate Management (Mandatory) SFTP (Mandatory) Terraform GitHub Actions CI/CD Pipelines Linux Administration Python (ability to read, troubleshoot, and modify scripts) Shell Scripting Requirements 7+ years of experience supporting cloud infrastructure and platform engineering environments. Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services. Proven experience with AWS Transfer Family, SFTP integrations, and secure file transfer solutions. Strong understanding of certificate management and mutual TLS (mTLS) authentication. Experience building and supporting serverless AWS architectures. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Strong knowledge of AWS networking concepts including VPCs, security groups, routing, and connectivity. Experience managing AWS IAM roles, policies, and security controls. Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting experience. Ability to read, analyze, troubleshoot, and modify Python scripts. Experience with automation scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages. Experience supporting production environments with high availability and security requirements. Responsibilities Design, implement, and support AWS-based cloud infrastructure and serverless solutions. Build and maintain secure SFTP integrations using AWS Transfer Family. Configure and manage mTLS authentication, certificates, and secure communication channels between systems. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions. Manage and support AWS services including S3, EventBridge, IAM, VPC, and related platform components. Administer Linux-based environments and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues. Monitor, maintain, and improve platform reliability, security, and operational efficiency. Support deployment automation and release management activities. Collaborate with engineering and business teams to implement scalable and secure solutions. Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and production issue resolution. Review and improve cloud architecture, security, and operational practices.
