About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our SDM (Supplier Data Manager) team at Akeneo. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and enhance our core data processing pipelines that convert complex, large-scale supplier data into trusted, high-quality product catalog information. You will work on end-to-end feature development, from backend data pipelines to frontend interfaces built with TypeScript and React. Your contributions will directly impact how efficiently our clients onboard and manage supplier data, reducing manual effort and errors. As part of a cross-functional team, you will collaborate closely with product managers, other engineers, and customer support to deliver reliable, scalable solutions. This position is ideal for individuals eager to grow into senior engineering roles, deepen their technical expertise, and participate in customer discovery to shape impactful features.
Qualifications
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, PHP, JavaScript, or TypeScript
Experience with full-stack development, including backend data pipelines and frontend frameworks like React
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles
Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues
Familiarity with AI tools and techniques for data extraction and classification is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving project requirements
Experience working with large, complex datasets and understanding of data quality challenges
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and ship features for the SDM platform, ensuring end-to-end functionality from backend pipelines to frontend interfaces
Contribute to building reliable and scalable data-processing pipelines that convert unstructured supplier data into structured, validated catalog information
Implement and optimize deterministic and AI-driven data extraction, classification, and validation processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions
Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing to foster continuous improvement
Monitor and maintain deployed features, ensuring high availability and performance in production environments
Engage in customer discovery activities to gather feedback and inform product development
Work across the wider Product Cloud ecosystem, understanding how different teams and modules integrate
Support the team in troubleshooting issues, and contribute to documentation and best practices
