Software Engineer, Code Platform

Accountabilities: The Software Engineer, Code Platform will design and develop core infrastructure that enables seamless interaction between design systems, code generation, and AI-powered workflows. The role focuses on technical execution, platform scalability, and improving the reliability and quality of next-generation creation tools. Design, build, and improve code-to-design and design-to-code translation pipelines, including AI-powered and agentic workflows. Develop and integrate LLM-based systems that support code generation, design interpretation, and intelligent product experiences. Create evaluation frameworks to measure AI-generated code quality, correctness, reliability, and format accuracy. Build scalable serialization pipelines, internal APIs, and platform utilities that support future product capabilities. Diagnose and optimize performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and long-running processes impacting system reliability and user experience. Improve correctness, reconciliation, and fidelity across complex design systems, layouts, and component structures. Partner with product and engineering teams to define long-term platform strategy and technical direction. Establish observability practices and monitor key metrics such as latency, success rates, and system quality. Contribute to architecture decisions, technical standards, and engineering best practices. Mentor other engineers and help shape the growth of the technical team through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with strong platform engineering skills and a passion for AI-driven product development. You should be comfortable working on complex technical challenges involving frontend systems, infrastructure, and emerging AI technologies. 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in web, platform, or infrastructure engineering. Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern frontend engineering principles. Deep understanding of declarative UI systems such as React, JSX, or similar technologies. Experience building complex software systems involving multiple stakeholders and cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with abstract syntax trees (ASTs), code transformation, compilation concepts, or related technologies. Experience integrating AI models or LLM-powered capabilities into production products. Strong debugging skills, including experience resolving performance, rendering, and pipeline latency challenges. Experience designing scalable platforms, APIs, observability systems, and reliable infrastructure. Ability to evaluate and improve AI-generated outputs through quality frameworks and technical analysis. Knowledge of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model evaluation, or agentic workflows is a plus. Experience with code generation models, AI developer ecosystems, tool-use APIs, or similar technologies is preferred. Background in design systems, component libraries, rendering, graphics pipelines, or developer tooling is an advantage. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and product teams.
