About the job Site Reliability Engineer Location: Remote / Dublin Hours: 39 hours per week Rate: €38–€41 per hour (DOE) We're recruiting a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and enhance mission-critical production systems for a leading organisation developing innovative speech technology solutions. You'll focus on reliability, automation, performance, and scalability while working closely with engineering teams in a modern cloud environment. Key Responsibilities: Deploy, maintain, and support production systems. Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and reporting solutions. Improve system reliability, performance, and automation. Perform capacity planning and troubleshoot production issues. Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture and operational improvements. Participate in a shared on-call rota (approximately 1 week in 5). Maintain operational documentation and best practices. Requirements: Bachelor's degree with 4+ years' relevant experience, or equivalent industry experience (6+ years). Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, Operations, or Software Engineering. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and experience working with distributed teams. Desirable: Linux administration. Experience with cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational processes. Familiarity with AI agents, AI models, or Model Context Protocol (MCP). Technical Skills: Experience with some of the following is preferred: Languages: Python, Shell, Java, Go Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AWS DocumentDB CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, GoCD Containers & Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible AWS: EC2, EKS, EFS, S3, RDS, CloudFront Monitoring: Grafana, ELK Stack, Filebeat, Redis, Solr On-Call: Shared rota approximately 1 week in every 5. Coverage: 9:00am–5:00pm, Monday–Sunday during your assigned week. Respond to production alerts within 30–60 minutes when required. No active monitoring is expected outside of incidents, particularly at weekends.
