About this role
This is a high-ownership position for Senior or Staff Full-Stack Software Engineers to help shape and scale products for a HealthTech start-up. The role involves building and scaling reliable, user-focused products, designing robust APIs and backend services, and improving performance and resilience. Engineers will integrate modern AI into real-world workflows and influence both technical and product decisions. The technical environment focuses on TypeScript, APIs, distributed systems, and scalable infrastructure. The role
This is a high-ownership position. You’ll tackle complex problems end-to-end, influence product direction and work closely with engineering product and design.
You’ll be trusted to decide what to build, how to build it and how to make it better.
What you’ll do
- Build and scale reliable, user-focused products.
- Design robust APIs and backend services.
- Improve performance, resilience and usability.
- Integrate modern AI into real-world workflows.
- Shape technical and product decisions.
- Solve ambiguous problems with autonomy.
- Raise the bar for engineering quality across the team.
What they are looking for
- 5+ years’ software engineering experience, operating at Senior, Lead or Staff level.
- Strong full-stack skills with a backend focus.
- Experience in a start-up, scale-up or similarly fast-moving environment.
- A product mindset and genuine focus on user experience.
- Strong understanding of scalable, distributed systems.
- High standards for code quality, reliability and simplicity.
- Someone who thrives on ownership, autonomy and meaningful problems.

Experience in healthcare, finance, infrastructure or other high-stakes environments is a bonus, but not essential.
