Senior Software Engineer Copilot AI Models

Accountabilities: The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the design, development, and operation of scalable backend platforms that enable AI-powered developer experiences. This role requires strong technical ownership, collaboration across teams, and a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability. Design, develop, test, and deliver high-quality software solutions that scale across multiple services and platforms. Build and maintain highly available backend services and APIs that support AI-powered developer tools and integrations. Develop scalable distributed systems while optimizing reliability, latency, cost, and operational performance. Collaborate with engineering, product, and partner teams to define and implement innovative technical solutions. Own the health, quality, and reliability of systems through monitoring, troubleshooting, and participation in on-call responsibilities. Create architecture proposals, technical designs, prototypes, and experiments to improve system capabilities. Design and implement APIs that enable seamless communication between software components. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient software delivery. Write clean, maintainable, and secure code while following engineering best practices. Provide technical leadership through mentorship, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and collaboration with other engineers. Identify opportunities to improve platform scalability, resilience, and developer productivity. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have extensive software engineering experience with distributed systems, backend development, and cloud-based platforms. They should be comfortable working in complex technical environments and collaborating with globally distributed teams. 6+ years of experience in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline with proven experience building and maintaining production software. Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Go, Ruby, Rust, or Python. Experience designing and operating large-scale, reliable backend systems and services. Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and engineering best practices. Experience with cloud environments and cloud-native technologies. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar tools. Experience with CI/CD practices and automated software delivery workflows. Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and improve performance, reliability, and scalability. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, cross-functional environment. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field preferred. Experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) concepts is a plus. Passion for developer tools, AI technologies, and building products that improve engineering productivity. Benefits: Competitive base salary range of $124,000 - $329,200 per year , depending on location, experience, skills, and qualifications.
