We're hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a mission-critical infrastructure team responsible for powering large-scale Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platforms.
This role sits at the intersection of Platform Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and Data Engineering, helping to build and operate scalable, secure, and highly automated environments across GCP and AWS.
You'll work closely with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Cloud teams to ensure critical data platforms remain reliable, performant, and cost-effective.
The Role | Senior Site Reliability Engineer (BI & Data Platforms) (Contract)
You'll be responsible for:
Managing and optimising Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) environments
Building and maintaining cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS
Designing and supporting Data Lakehouse architectures using BigQuery and Cloud Storage
Driving Infrastructure as Code adoption using Terraform
Supporting BI platforms including Tableau, Qlik Sense, and Power BI
Collaborating with Data Engineers on Airflow, Dataflow, and BigQuery pipelines
Building CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and GitHub Actions
Implementing observability and monitoring using Grafana and Google Cloud Operations Suite
Driving cloud security, automation, and FinOps best practices

Strong commercial experience with:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
BigQuery and modern data platforms
AWS (EC2, S3 and related services)
CI/CD tooling (GitLab CI or GitHub Actions)
Grafana and cloud observability tooling
Python, Bash, or Go scripting
Cloud security, IAM, and networking
Nice to Have
Data Lakehouse experience
Tableau, Qlik Sense, or Power BI
Airflow, Dataflow, or data engineering exposure
Multi-cloud environments (GCP & AWS)
DevSecOps or FinOps experience
