Accountabilities: The Senior Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support across commercial, operational, and regulatory activities. This role requires strong judgment, business awareness, and the ability to translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for stakeholders. Provide legal advice and strategic support on business operations, commercial transactions, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance matters. Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a variety of agreements, including commercial contracts, partnership agreements, licensing agreements, and internal policies. Identify legal risks, assess potential business impacts, and develop mitigation strategies to support operational continuity. Partner with business teams, finance, HR, compliance, and other functions to provide practical legal solutions aligned with organizational objectives. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and oversee complex legal matters to ensure effective and efficient outcomes. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise stakeholders on necessary actions and compliance requirements. Support dispute resolution activities, including legal research, documentation preparation, and coordination with internal and external parties. Develop and deliver legal training sessions to improve awareness of legal obligations and compliance practices. Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and governance standards. Provide guidance on cross-border transactions and international business law matters. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have extensive legal experience in commercial law, contract management, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to operate independently while collaborating with global stakeholders. Strong communication skills, business understanding, and attention to detail are essential for success. Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active admission to the bar and good standing in at least one relevant jurisdiction. 8–10 years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably combining law firm and in-house corporate experience. Demonstrated experience with commercial agreements, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance. Understanding of international business law and cross-border commercial transactions. Ability to manage multiple priorities, complex projects, and competing deadlines effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. Professional proficiency in English. Authorized to work in the United States without requiring additional sponsorship.
