About the job 🚀 Senior Hybrid Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer 💻 100% Remote Contract | 💰 R800 per hour We are partnering with an elite AI and data-driven consulting group seeking a Senior Hybrid Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer to join high-impact client environments. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex infrastructure challenges — stabilising environments, modernising platforms, and building scalable hybrid cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP. If you're the engineer teams call when systems need structure, resilience, and optimisation, this opportunity could be for you. 🔧 What You’ll Be Doing • Designing and operating hybrid infrastructure (on-prem + AWS / Azure / GCP) • Leading on-prem → cloud or hybrid migrations with minimal downtime • Driving cloud optimisation across performance, scalability, and cost • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible or similar) • Monitoring and troubleshooting with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK • Ensuring security, resilience, DR, and compliance best practices • Modernising and maintaining on-prem environments (Linux / Windows, VMware / Hyper-V, networking, storage) • Collaborating with DevOps, Security, and Engineering teams to support CI/CD pipelines • Providing hands-on technical leadership within engineering teams • Supporting capacity planning and on-call rotations where required • Producing clear architecture and operational documentation 🧠 What We’re Looking For ✔ Senior-level Infrastructure / Cloud Engineering experience ✔ Strong expertise in hybrid cloud environments ✔ Experience delivering in complex, client-facing consulting environments ✔ Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation ✔ Ability to work independently and influence technical direction ✔ Comfortable stepping into unfamiliar environments and bringing stability quickly 🌍 The Environment • 100% remote contract work • High-end consulting engagements • AI-first, data-driven clients • Engineers trusted to lead technically and solve real problems 📩 Interested or open to a confidential discussion?
