Senior Georgia Government Account Executive

Accountabilities: Manage and grow a government-focused sales territory by acquiring new customers, expanding existing relationships, and driving revenue growth across assigned accounts. Develop and execute territory and account strategies to identify high-value opportunities, advance sales pipelines, and achieve business objectives. Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, decision-makers, and key partners throughout the region. Leverage knowledge of public sector needs, procurement processes, and industry trends to position relevant technology solutions. Prospect within assigned accounts to uncover business challenges, qualify opportunities, and determine the appropriate resources needed for successful outcomes. Lead complex sales cycles from opportunity identification through proposal development, contract negotiation, and final agreement execution. Collaborate with pre-sales teams, account managers, sales specialists, and executives to deliver compelling solutions and customer experiences. Prepare proposals, quotations, contracts, and delivery plans while coordinating with cross-functional teams. Monitor customer satisfaction, identify expansion opportunities, and strengthen long-term account relationships. Utilize sales planning tools, forecasting methodologies, and account management strategies to maintain accurate pipeline visibility and maximize close potential. Develop action plans for high-priority opportunities and continuously improve territory performance. Requirements Must be located in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Strong understanding of Georgia’s political environment, government operations, and public sector decision-making processes. Established relationships with individuals and stakeholders within Georgia government organizations. Deep knowledge of Georgia state procurement processes and government purchasing practices. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 8 years of relevant sales experience, government experience, or related technology industry experience. Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies, manage complex accounts, and achieve revenue targets. Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate technical solutions into business value. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Ability to analyze market dynamics, identify opportunities, and create effective territory plans. Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel up to 25%.
