About this role

The candidate will be responsible for building and supporting APIs and microservices using a backend stack of C# and/or Java. Frontend development will involve working with ReactJS. The technical environment includes databases such as Oracle and Couchbase, and messaging systems like Kafka, ActiveMQ, or AmazonMQ. The role involves using observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch to monitor logs, metrics, and metrics. Additionally, the candidate will manage CI/CD pipelines and build tools such as Concourse and Git-based workflows. The position requires a debugging and production support of production systems within an existing team and codebase.

Technical Capabilities

Strong backend experience in C# and/OR Java (ideally both)
Strong frontend experience with ReactJS
Experience building and supporting APIs / microservices
Working knowledge of databases (Oracle, Couchbase)
Experience with messaging / event-driven systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ, AmazonMQ)
Familiarity with observability tooling (logs, metrics, alerting – e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build tools (e.g. Concourse, Git-based workflows)
Experience debugging and supporting production systems

Working Style

Able to ramp up quickly and work with limited handholding
Comfortable asking the right questions early to unblock progress
Communicates clearly on progress, risks, and blockers
Works effectively within an existing team and codebase (pragmatic, no overengineering)
