Accountabilities: The Senior Finance Manager will oversee accounting operations while driving improvements across financial processes, automation, and business reporting. This role requires a balance of operational ownership, strategic thinking, and a passion for technology-enabled finance transformation. Own monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards. Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, accruals, financial reporting, and internal controls. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and support audit preparation and external accounting relationships. Transition accounting responsibilities from existing support resources and establish scalable finance operations. Optimize finance systems and automation tools to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency. Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and integrations across accounting, payroll, banking, billing, and reporting workflows. Improve reporting capabilities through KPI dashboards, recurring financial analysis, and executive-level insights. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to help leaders make informed business decisions. Design and document scalable finance processes that support future growth. Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility and operational effectiveness. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced finance professional who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a passion for automation, technology, and continuous improvement. You should be comfortable operating in a lean, fast-paced environment and building processes from the ground up. 6+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles. Proven experience owning or leading monthly close processes and financial operations. Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting controls. Experience improving finance systems, workflows, and operational processes. Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies and implement automation solutions. Strong analytical skills with experience in budgeting, forecasting, KPI reporting, and financial analysis. Curiosity and enthusiasm for AI, automation, and modern finance technologies. Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-moving environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with executive stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Experience with SaaS, technology companies, venture-backed organizations, or high-growth environments is a plus. Experience implementing or optimizing finance platforms and accounting systems is highly valued. CPA certification is preferred but not required. Benefits: Competitive salary range of $135,000 - $175,000 USD for U.S.-based applicants, with final compensation based on experience.
