For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director AI Platform Architecture to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a life sciences environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $167,500 – $278,000 annually
Responsibilities
Define and execute the AI platform strategy and roadmap aligned to CRG Digital priorities
Establish the AI platform as a shared capability layer for all AI-enabled products
Lead the design and development of the AI platform architecture including MLOps pipelines
Build and scale reusable AI components such as model libraries and orchestration tools
Establish AI lifecycle management practices in compliance with security and governance standards
Enable a federated AI model allowing product teams to leverage centralized platform standards
Partner with cross-functional teams for seamless integration of AI capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in computer science, engineering, AI/ML, or related field
12 years of experience in software engineering, data platforms, AI/ML engineering, or platform leadership roles
Proven track record of building and scaling AI/ML platforms in enterprise environments
Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and MLOps/LLMOps practices
Experience operating in complex, matrixed organizations with cross-functional stakeholders
Experience in regulated environments, preferably healthcare/life sciences
