For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director AI Delivery & Operations to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will lead operational priorities where safety, quality, compliance, and execution discipline are central to success. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. The position offers the opportunity to influence operational scale, customer outcomes, and organizational performance within a life sciences environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $167,500 – $278,000 annually
Responsibilities
Lead engineering teams to deliver AI-enabled applications at scale
Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development tools to redefine engineering productivity
Establish a target operating model that amplifies engineer output through AI collaboration
Shift focus from manual coding to system design and integration of AI services
Oversee reliable delivery of AI/ML solutions and APIs while ensuring integration into workflows
Drive rapid iteration and automation-first development to enhance engineering velocity
Collaborate with solution architecture to translate AI use cases into production-ready solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred in computer science, engineering, AI/ML, or related field
12 years of experience in software or platform engineering with proven leadership skills
Experience defining and implementing scalable platform architectures
Successfully delivered AI/ML systems in production, understanding model lifecycles
Proven track record of enhancing engineering processes with AI-assisted development practices
Experience in regulated environments with knowledge of compliance and quality standards
