Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Argentina. Our client is a global technology company specializing in self-service payment solutions and digital customer engagement for the retail petroleum industry.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
Strong experience with AWS, including EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, and multi-account architectures.
In-depth understanding of deploying and managing Kubernetes (EKS) in production environments
Strong knowledge of Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management (Terragrunt familiarity is a plus).
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
Understanding of container orchestration, networking (Cilium/CNI), and security policies.
Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, alerting).
Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting (Bash, Python).
Familiarity with Git-based workflows and GitHub (branching, tagging, PRs, code reviews).
Strong troubleshooting skills across application and infrastructure layers in distributed systems.
Nice To Have
Experience with HashiCorp Vault for secrets management and dynamic credentials.
Experience with HashiCorp Boundary for secure remote access.
Familiarity with Kyverno for Kubernetes policy enforcement.
Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka/MSK, NATS).
Familiarity with MongoDB Atlas and database operations.
Understanding of Cilium for Kubernetes networking and network policies.
Exposure to IoT platforms (AWS IoT Core).
Experience with Temporal for workflow orchestration.
Familiarity with ArgoCD or GitOps deployment patterns
Experience working in multi-region, multi-environment (dev/prod) setups.
Familiarity with Keycloak and SAML-based SSO across multiple services.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage containerized applications on AWS EKS (Kubernetes) in production across multiple regions.
Maintain and evolve Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Terragrunt across multi-account AWS environments.
Implement and manage Kubernetes networking and security policies using Cilium (CNI) and Kyverno.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions with tag-based deployment workflows.
Manage and configure HashiCorp Vault for secrets management, including dynamic database credentials.
Implement and optimize monitoring, alerting, and observability using Grafana (AWS Managed Grafana), Prometheus, and PagerDuty.
Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues across distributed microservices systems.
Manage AWS environments including EKS, VPC networking, MSK (Kafka), NATS, and IoT Core.
Support secure access patterns using HashiCorp Boundary and Keycloak SSO (SAML) for authentication across services.
Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows, service reliability, and platform scalability.

Deployment processes are automated, repeatable, and follow tag-based release workflows.

Platform supports rapid onboarding of new microservices with minimal manual intervention.
