Senior DevOps Engineer

About the job Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is an international education and advocacy organization seeking to catalyze the movement to end extreme poverty and promote social justice and equity through intersectionality. The team uses all the services below, so knowledge of the services below is a plus: CloudFront, WAF, Shield, API Gateway, S3, ECS, ECR, SSM, Lambda, Cloud Watch logs and metrics, Route 53, EC2, ElastiCache. Overlap is till 22:00 Kyiv time. Requirements Strong experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure. Knowledge of Kubernetes and experience in managing workloads on EKS. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly using Terraform. Knowledge of configuration management and automation tools, including Ansible. Experience with Docker containerization and container-based deployments. Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including experience with Amazon RDS and/or Amazon Redshift. Understanding of scripting and automation using Bash and/or Python Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Travis. Knowledge of Elasticsearch or OpenSearch. Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and error-tracking tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, and Sentry. Good communication skills in English (verbal, comprehension, and spoken). Be vocal and speak up - remote communication skills are important. Experience working remotely across time zones. Desire to become part of a team rather than a separate entity that writes code for a client. Nice to have Familiarity with DataDog/Prometheus/Sentry. Experience with Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS ).
