What you'll do
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join Snke Theater, where we build software for the operating room, a highly complex environment in which medical devices, hospital IT systems, and cloud services must work seamlessly and reliably together. Your mission is to transform our engineering culture through automation and transparency, and to professionalize, stabilize, and unify our integration and delivery processes.
- Consolidate and standardize legacy pipelines across teams into a unified, production-grade CI/CD framework
- Evolve the CI/CD platform to deliver fast, reliable feedback and high pipeline performance
- Introduce and evolve Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Policy as Code practices
- Establish stable and clearly separated environments (Development, QA, Staging, Production) and eliminate environment drift
- Align delivery processes with medical-grade standards and integrate with compliant systems to support regulatory and quality requirements
- Build and stabilize scalable test infrastructure and environments for reliable system-level testing in complex, distributed setups
- Improve developer experience by providing standardized service templates, packaging, and deployment workflows
- Integrate and deploy Snke Theater products onto the Snke Healthcare platform, enabling end-to-end delivery pipelines
- Define and track key metrics to measure delivery performance (e.g., time to deploy, pipeline stability) and improve visibility into system health
- Strong background in DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Solid expertise in GitHub Actions or similar CI/C tools
- Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code (e.g., Ansible, AWS CDK, OPA, Cedar)
- Ability to integrate and standardize pipelines across teams and repositories
- Proficient in structuring and managing multi-stage environments (Dev, QA, Staging, Production)
- A data-driven mindset, defining and using metrics to improve delivery performance
- Strong hands-on approach with the ability to build, fix, measure and improve systems yourself
- Experience in guiding and supporting product teams with their delivery processes
- Basic understanding of application security (e.g., OWASP Top 10, API security principles)
- Experience working with Windows Server, Linux, and containerization (Docker)
- Familiarity with cloud or hybrid environments (preferably AWS)
- A supportive, international team connected by shared values and a culture of trust
- Meaningful responsibilities with a lasting impact on global healthtech, improving medical decisions and patient outcomes
- 30 vacation days, plus December 24th and December 31st
- Flexible working hours and a hybrid work model within Germany
- Bike leasing via our partner “BikeLeasing”
- Parking garage and secure underground bike storage
- Subsidized company restaurant and in‑house café
- Urban Sports Club membership with employer contribution
- Regular after‑work, team, and company events
- Centrally located, modern workspace with a 212 m² rooftop terrace
