About the job
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the migration from Jenkins to GitLab CI/CD within a dynamic cloud environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in AWS, infrastructure automation and modern CI/CD practices to help streamline and modernize our delivery pipelines.
Kindly note that this role supports remote work, but only from within Ukraine.
Responsibilities
Lead the migration of CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins to GitLab CI/CD
Design, implement and maintain scalable CI/CD workflows in cloud environments
Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code solutions to automate provisioning and deployments
Collaborate with Business Analysts, management and business team members to align DevOps practices with business goals
Optimize and monitor AWS-based infrastructure for performance, reliability and cost efficiency
Implement container orchestration solutions using Kubernetes
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across build, deployment and runtime environments
Establish best practices for automation, security and observability across the SDLC
Mentor team members on DevOps tools, processes and methodologies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
5+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools in Cloud environments
Proficiency in Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD with hands-on experience in pipeline migration
Expertise in AWS Cloud services including S3, RDS and DynamoDB, as well as Elasticsearch, Lambda and API Gateway, along with AmazonMQ and CloudWatch
Skills in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and CloudFormation
Competency in container orchestration with Kubernetes
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash and Ansible
Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical staff and non-technical stakeholders
English proficiency at B2 level or higher
