Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure)

About the job About The Role In this role, you will design, enhance, and operate Azure-based cloud platforms that support client delivery, modernization, and cloud-native initiatives. You will take ownership of building reliable, secure, and scalable environments while contributing to solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. In addition, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the migration of microservices, ensuring smooth, efficient, and secure deployments across the platform. Responsibilities Design and operate Azure infrastructure using Entra ID, RBAC, Virtual Network, compute, storage, API, container, and security services Improve reliability, scalability, security, cost efficiency, and delivery speed through automation and cloud-native operational practices Implement CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies with Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar tools Operate Kubernetes workloads in AKS or vanilla clusters, using Helm charts and troubleshooting production issues Automate infrastructure and configuration with Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, Python, PowerShell, or Bash Implement observability, logging, metrics, and alerts with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, Elasticsearch, or similar platforms Support modernization, migration, hybrid cloud, and AI/ML-enabled solution initiatives using cloud adoption practices Requirements Strong experience as a DevOps, SRE, or platform engineer, including 4+ years in cloud-based delivery Advanced knowledge of Azure services such as Entra ID, RBAC, Virtual Network, NAT, Load Balancer, VMs, Blob Storage, Managed Disks, Files, Container Apps, API Management, Functions, WAF, Firewall, Azure SQL, and Cosmos DB Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, AKS, or vanilla clusters, Helm charts, and production workload operations Practical experience with GitHub Actions Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Terraform, ARM, Bicep, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack Practical scripting skills with Python, PowerShell, or Bash Solid background in Linux and Windows administration, networking, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTPS, TLS certificates, and distributed troubleshooting Practical understanding of observability platforms, landing zones, cloud well-architected practices, and cloud adoption frameworks Intermediate Strong or higher level of English Experience with AI-based products or ML teams (advantageous) SoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
