The position combines cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, security integration, and collaboration with high-performing technology teams. You will help establish best practices across development workflows, deployment pipelines, and operational environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, communicating technical concepts clearly, and driving automation initiatives from strategy through execution. Accountabilities As a Senior DevOps Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and improving automated delivery processes, strengthening infrastructure reliability, and supporting teams in adopting modern DevOps practices. Design, implement, and maintain continuous delivery solutions that support efficient and reliable software deployment. Establish and enforce version control best practices across application code, infrastructure code, and system configurations. Develop automation solutions for infrastructure, applications, and security changes using modern scripting and programming tools. Build and manage continuous integration pipelines that provide rapid feedback on software changes. Implement streamlined development workflows, including trunk-based development strategies and efficient release processes. Create and maintain automated testing frameworks for infrastructure, security, and application components. Support test data management and collaborate with engineering, security, and data teams to optimize automated testing environments. Integrate security practices into DevOps workflows by implementing approved tools, libraries, and automation processes. Manage and improve cloud-based infrastructure deployments using automation and infrastructure-as-code approaches. Collaborate with Agile teams to plan, execute, and continuously improve DevOps initiatives. Communicate technical solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements The ideal candidate brings strong DevOps expertise, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to improve software delivery practices in complex technical environments. 3+ years of experience in DevOps, automation engineering, cloud engineering, or a related technical field. Strong proficiency with modern programming or scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Node.js, or C#. Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, CircleCI, or TravisCI. Advanced command-line experience with Bash or PowerShell, including system administration tasks such as package management, service configuration, logging, monitoring, and networking. Hands-on experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or Packer. Experience deploying and securing cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS or Azure. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, or similar platforms. Understanding of cloud networking, access security, and deployment practices for modern web and data applications. Knowledge of continuous delivery principles and familiarity with DORA metrics. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams.
