Senior Construction Estimator (Stone Masonry, Brick, Concrete)

Accountabilities Manage the full pre-construction estimating process for residential and commercial masonry projects. Review architectural and structural drawings to understand project scope, materials, specifications, and construction requirements. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs using ZiZi Takeoff or similar estimating software such as PlanSwift or On-Screen Takeoff. Export quantities into Excel and prepare comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and logistics. Develop accurate pricing models and prepare professional proposals and quotations for clients. Contact suppliers to obtain material pricing, availability, and lead-time information. Coordinate with subcontracted masonry crews to gather labor pricing, evaluate schedules, and support bid preparation. Include equipment and operational costs, such as scaffolding and other project-specific requirements, in estimates. Upload, organize, and manage estimates using BuilderTrend or comparable construction management platforms. Communicate professionally with homeowners, contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors when clarification or additional information is required. Requirements 7–10+ years of experience in construction estimating, specifically supporting US-based construction projects. Strong background estimating masonry, stone, brick, concrete, veneers, or other exterior finish construction projects. Advanced ability to read and interpret US architectural and structural blueprints. Proven experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and developing accurate project estimates. Advanced Excel skills with experience building cost models and analyzing pricing data. Hands-on experience with takeoff software such as ZiZi Takeoff, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar tools. Experience using BuilderTrend or comparable construction management software. Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent practical construction estimating experience is preferred. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently. Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and reliability in a fully remote environment. Comfortable communicating with luxury residential clients, vendors, contractors, and subcontractors. Experience independently managing estimating workflows for US contractors is highly valued. Benefits Fully remote position with the flexibility to work from Mexico.
