Role Description The Senior Azure Cloud Site Reliability Engineer is a full-time remote role responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of Azure-based systems. This position involves designing and implementing robust infrastructure, monitoring services, and automation frameworks to prevent incidents and improve system resilience. Day-to-day tasks include investigating and troubleshooting complex production issues, optimizing cloud resources, and collaborating with development and cloud consulting teams to enhance system architecture and deployment pipelines. The engineer will implement best practices for observability, incident response, and capacity planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across environments. This role also requires documenting technical solutions, mentoring team members, and helping to shape cloud and reliability standards within the organization. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Site Reliability Engineering skills, including reliability best practices, observability, incident management, and performance optimization. Candidates should possess troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for complex cloud, network, and application issues. Candidates should possess software development skills, such as scripting or coding (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or similar) to automate operations and build tools. Candidates should possess system administration skills for Windows and/or Linux environments, including security, patching, and configuration management. Candidates should possess infrastructure skills focused on Azure cloud services, networking, containers, and infrastructure-as-code (e.g., ARM, Bicep, Terraform). Experience operating mission-critical, high-availability systems and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in remote, cross-functional teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Azure, DevOps, or SRE-related) are an advantage.
