About the job Senior AWS Platform Engineer / Data Platform Engineer East Midlands Midlands / Hybrid Working (1x a month) Market Rate Salary or Day Rate Available Candidates must be available to start within the next 2-3 weeks I'm currently working with an established UK technology business that is investing heavily in its Analytics, Data and AI capabilities and is looking to hire a Senior AWS Platform Engineer to help shape and operate its next-generation cloud platform. This is a high-impact opportunity for someone who enjoys platform ownership and wants to influence how cloud infrastructure, governance, security and operational excellence are delivered across a modern AWS environment. You'll be involved in: Owning and developing cloud platform capabilities within AWS Designing secure, scalable and governed cloud environments Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Platform observability, monitoring and operational excellence Security, IAM, access controls and governance frameworks Cost optimisation and cloud efficiency initiatives Supporting Analytics, Data and AI teams through a robust cloud platform We're keen to speak with people who have experience with: AWS Terraform and/or AWS CDK AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Landing Zones or multi-account environments CI/CD and automation Platform Engineering, DevOps or Cloud Engineering Monitoring and observability tooling Cloud security and governance Nice to have: Experience supporting analytics, data or AI platforms Exposure to Databricks, Redshift, Airflow or Lakehouse technologies Experience working in regulated environments Important: This opportunity is moving quickly and we're specifically looking to speak with individuals who are available to start within the next 2-3 weeks, whether coming from a contract, FTC or immediately available position.
