Senior AWS Cloud Engineer (Remote – LATAM)

About the job We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join an international Agile team responsible for building, automating, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. The ideal candidate has strong experience with AWS Cloud Services, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud security. You will play a key role in designing scalable cloud solutions, improving deployment processes, and ensuring the reliability and security of cloud environments. Responsibilities Provision and configure AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation). Deploy and manage AWS services including ECS, Lambda, IAM, and networking components. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployments. Develop reusable automation scripts, templates, and infrastructure modules. Monitor cloud environments to ensure performance, availability, and reliability. Assess systems for security risks, vulnerabilities, and configuration compliance. Implement IAM roles and least-privilege access policies. Collaborate with development teams to support cloud-native applications. Participate in SAFe PI Planning and Agile ceremonies. Create and maintain technical documentation and operational standards. Required Skills 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Services Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (AWS CDK or CloudFormation) Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Strong knowledge of Docker and containerized environments Experience with AWS ECS, Lambda, IAM, API Gateway, VPC, Security Groups Experience with automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef Experience with CloudWatch, logging, monitoring, and alerting Working knowledge of Kubernetes is a plus Experience with Git, Jira, and Confluence Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum or SAFe methodologies Fluent English and Spanish Nice to Have AWS Certifications Experience with security and vulnerability management Experience with reusable Infrastructure as Code modules Experience supporting enterprise cloud platforms What We're Looking For Strong problem-solving skills Automation-first mindset Security-focused approach (DevSecOps) Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently in distributed teams Continuous improvement mindset
