About the job Belgium Payroll Functional Consultant, Freelance Contract to start ASAP Join a Belgium payroll transformation project working client-side through to go-live. Freelance engagement. Camarade is looking for a Senior SAP Payroll Functional Consultant to work directly inside the client organisation. You are the bridge between the business and the implementation team, across every phase from Blueprint through go-live and Hypercare. Predominantly remote, with occasional on-site visits in Belgium. What you'll do Support Business Blueprint workshops and help design the Belgian payroll process Gather and validate payroll requirements with HR, finance and operations, and work with the configuration team to make sure they're built correctly Define test scenarios and support payroll validation during parallel runs, comparing legacy and SAP results and helping resolve differences Map payroll interfaces between SAP and third-party systems Support UAT with end users, help manage sign-off on the payroll process, and handle master data requirements and SOPs for the client's team Give functional support through go-live and Hypercare What you'll bring Solid knowledge of Belgian payroll law and statutory requirements, including tax authority rules, social insurance, and wage tax Experience on at least one SAP Payroll implementation in a functional or business analyst capacity, with the ability to interpret payroll results and gross to net logic Experience with test scenario design or payroll validation, whether hands-on or in a requirements/process ownership role Comfortable working client-side, managing both business stakeholders and implementation partners Dutch or French, plus English Self-directed, able to work with limited oversight Our process is simple and direct: fewer steps, faster decisions.
