About the job For our client, we are seeking a Principal Devops Engineer IT - Devops Engineers to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a regulated financial services environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $120,000 – $160,000 annually Responsibilities Oversee server builds, deployments, and integrations of software Collaborate with teams to enhance Monitoring and Performance practices Develop processes for automation of software builds and deployments Participate in technology and architectural design discussions Research new tools/technologies and plan their implementation Provide daily technical leadership and promote DevOps principles Optimize and build strategies for application support in production Qualifications 10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps and Engineering & Operations skills Proficient in Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, and relevant tools Experience with Linux environments for application deployment and troubleshooting Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, and Groovy Hands-on with CI/CD tools supporting Java technologies like Jenkins and Nexus Experienced with Containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Benefits Opportunity to work with innovative technologies and processes Leadership role with the ability to mentor and coach teams Work-life balance in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Impactful mission aiding retirement and education savings for millions Access to extensive resources and collaboration across departments Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
