Accountabilities: As the Payments Product Manager, you will own the strategy, requirements, and roadmap for payment infrastructure initiatives. You will act as the connection point between payments teams, engineering, and the broader product organization, ensuring complex technical requirements are translated into scalable solutions. Provide product leadership for payment transaction components, processor integrations, certification processes, and platform evolution. Own processor integration and certification initiatives from initial requirements through testing, validation, and delivery. Manage relationships with processors and card networks, representing the organization in technical, compliance, and operational discussions. Monitor payment industry standards, compliance updates, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and product requirements. Serve as an internal payments expert on topics including EMV standards, certification requirements, payment methods, and integration architecture. Manage multiple certification projects, integrations, and compliance initiatives while maintaining attention to detail. Review technical documentation, processor specifications, and card network requirements to create clear engineering-ready requirements. Translate complex payment standards into product requirements, user stories, and documentation for engineering teams. Identify dependencies between new product features, payment integrations, and certification requirements. Advocate for improvements such as authentication standards, network tokenization, and emerging payment capabilities. Maintain and execute product roadmaps balancing certifications, integrations, compliance requirements, and platform enhancements. Communicate roadmap decisions and priorities clearly across engineering, operations, and partner teams. Coordinate launch readiness by ensuring documentation, testing, certification approvals, and engineering activities are completed successfully. Collaborate closely with engineering teams through development cycles, including planning, refinement, reviews, and release validation. Partner with operations teams to support documentation, training, and successful adoption of new payment capabilities. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced product professional with deep expertise in payments infrastructure, processor integrations, and payment technology ecosystems. You should be comfortable navigating technical complexity, managing external partnerships, and translating industry requirements into effective product solutions. 3+ years of product management experience in payments, with 5–10+ years preferred. Proven experience managing payment infrastructure products, processor integrations, and certification processes. Strong understanding of payment transaction flows, card networks, payment processors, and certification requirements. Hands-on experience managing Level 3 card-present certifications and integrations with major processors or card brands. Familiarity with payment standards including PCI DSS, EMVCo, and related compliance frameworks. Ability to read, interpret, and translate processor specifications and technical documentation into clear product requirements. Experience managing relationships with external technology partners, processors, or payment networks. Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. Ability to prioritize effectively across multiple complex initiatives, compliance requirements, and product priorities. Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple deadlines and external dependencies. Collaborative mindset with the ability to bring together engineering, operations, and partner teams. Experience using product analytics tools and data to support product decisions. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment with a high degree of ownership. Benefits: Competitive annual base salary range of $120,000–$180,000 USD.
