Outbound Team Lead

The Team Lead will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Shipping department. Including all product initially received through the warehouse and the handling of all paperwork pertaining to that merchandise. Tracks performance and attendance for all personnel assigned to the shipping area. This position is also responsible for safety, organization and cleanliness.  YOUR TASKS Involvement and support with departmental process improvements  Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations  Continuous involvement and support with departmental process improvements  Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations  Follow and maintain 7s Program and guidelines  Any additional tasks that may be assigned to ensure an efficient, safe, clean, and goal-oriented work environment  This job description is not intended to be a comprehensive list of duties and responsibilities, the Company reserves the right to change or modify the job description at any time, with or without notice.  Demonstrated Shipping experience in a fast paced distribution center environment  Proven leadership experience  Problem solving, decision making, planning and organizational skills  Excellent communication skills  Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)  Safety knowledge  Able to perform at a fast-paced packaging environment   Perform accurately under stressful conditions.   Performing variety of duties as required   Flexibility is a must: Must be able to work overtime, holidays, weekends, different shifts, and different areas of the warehouse   The ability to follow instructions, processes, and procedures.   High School Diploma or Equivalent   SAP experience a plus  Forklift certified a plus  Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment   Knowledge of SAP pertaining to warehouse activities   Able to stand/walk for long periods of time   Requires ability to stand/reach/stoop/bend   Manufacturing Environment / Warehouse Setting  Stand, bend, stoop, lift, and walk majority of your shift   Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment   Travel:  None    Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Disability Pay. 401(k) with company matching up to 6%.
