
Online Learning Advisor - Business/Managerial Analytics

Accountabilities: As an Online Learning Advisor, you will support students throughout their learning journey by facilitating meaningful interactions, providing academic guidance, and maintaining a strong online learning experience. You will collaborate with academic teams to ensure quality delivery while helping students stay engaged and successful. Facilitate online learning activities that encourage student participation, engagement, and knowledge development. Support students through discussion boards, emails, and live sessions while maintaining regular communication and visibility every 24–48 hours during teaching periods. Assess student work and provide constructive, timely feedback that supports learning outcomes and academic growth. Apply subject matter expertise in business analytics and related fields to guide students effectively. Collaborate with academic teams to maintain unit quality and uphold teaching standards. Encourage student retention and engagement by creating a supportive and inclusive online learning environment. Promote a positive team culture by aligning with organisational values and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced business analytics professional and educator who is passionate about supporting online learners. You should combine strong industry knowledge with communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Minimum postgraduate qualification in Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related discipline. At least 5 years of practical industry experience working with data, analytics, or related business functions. Experience with data governance, stakeholder engagement, project-based environments, and applied agile principles. Previous experience teaching, mentoring, coaching, or supporting learners is highly desirable. Strong understanding of business analytics concepts and their practical application. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to provide clear guidance and feedback. Empathetic approach to understanding the challenges faced by online students. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage responsibilities independently. Confidence using online learning platforms and digital collaboration tools. Ability to commit to sessional part-time work of approximately 8 hours per week, with potential increases depending on assessment periods and student demand. Must be located in Australia.
