About the job Cloud Engineer 3 (Application Tech Lead) Remote | Contract-to-Hire Opportunity We are seeking a Senior AWS Full Stack Engineer / Application Tech Lead to join our team and lead the development of enterprise-level cloud-native applications. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will spend the majority of your time designing, developing, and enhancing applications while providing technical guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers. This is not a DevOps role. We are looking for a strong software engineer with deep AWS development experience who can lead technical decisions, perform code reviews, troubleshoot complex issues, and serve as the technical expert across multiple applications. Position Details Location: 100% Remote (EST/CST candidates only) Type: Contract-to-Hire (expected conversion after approximately 6 months) Eligibility: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder (no sponsorship available) Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and support enterprise-scale applications using modern cloud technologies Build and enhance cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services Serve as a technical lead and mentor for a team of approximately 10 developers Provide architecture guidance, code reviews, and technical direction Estimate development efforts for new business initiatives Troubleshoot production issues and drive technical solutions Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders Required Skills & Experience 10+ years of software development experience Strong hands-on experience with React, Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript Proven experience building and supporting production applications in AWS Strong knowledge of AWS services including: Lambda API Gateway S3 DynamoDB RDS Experience serving as a Technical Lead, Lead Developer, or Senior Engineer Ability to mentor developers while remaining hands-on with coding Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience Experience supporting legacy applications built with .NET (helpful but not required) Familiarity with CI/CD processes and modern software delivery practices Ideal Candidate The successful candidate is a senior full-stack engineer who loves to code but also enjoys leading others.
