About the job Junior Cloud Engineer (Entry-Level / Associate) Location: United States Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Junior Cloud Engineer to support the design, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure and services. This entry-level role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in cloud computing while working alongside experienced engineers to support scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments. Key Responsibilities Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and services. Monitor cloud environments to ensure availability, performance, and security. Support cloud migration, implementation, and optimization projects. Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and application-related issues. Assist with cloud resource provisioning and configuration management. Implement security best practices and support compliance requirements. Collaborate with development, operations, and IT teams to support cloud initiatives. Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations. Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes. Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry best practices. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. 0–2 years of experience in cloud computing, IT infrastructure, system administration, or a related technical role. Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Knowledge of operating systems including Windows and Linux. Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and firewalls. Understanding of virtualization and cloud computing fundamentals. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP through internships, projects, or certifications. Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash. Understanding of containers and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or similar certifications are a plus.
