About the job Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Permanent) Rate: £55k Annual Salary + 5% Pension + 25 Days Annual Leave Location: Remote Clearance: BPSS Stages: 1 Stage Key Responsibilitie sDesign, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure solutions .Support cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and hybrid environments .Build and maintain Windows and Linux server environments .Administer virtualisation platforms such as VMware .Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity services .Configure and support enterprise storage and backup solutions .Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity .Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis .Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or similar technologies .Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, or Python .Support CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices .Produce technical documentation, implementation guides, and support procedures .Participate in change, incident, and problem management processes .Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and third-party suppliers . Essential Skills & Experien ceStrong experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructur e.Windows Server administratio n.Linux administration (Red Hat/Ubuntu ).Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHC P.VMware vSphere or Hyper- V.Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure ).Infrastructure as Code (Terraform ).Automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Pytho n.Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Firewalls, VPN ).Enterprise backup and recovery solution s.Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk, or Dynatrac e.Understanding of ITIL processe s.Experience working in Agile environment s.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skill s.
