Golang Engineer: Cloud Platform

Accountabilities: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Golang services that power a scalable cloud platform and support millions of users. Architect and evolve core gRPC API services using modern frameworks such as ConnectRPC, ensuring reliability and strong developer experiences. Build and operate secure, programmable microservices infrastructure that enables efficient communication across platform components. Manage and improve identity and authentication systems using technologies such as Ory Kratos, Keto, Hydra, or similar identity platforms. Develop security strategies, including DDoS mitigation approaches and traffic protection mechanisms, to strengthen platform resilience. Implement infrastructure based on immutable principles, enabling automated recovery, failover, and rapid system reconstruction. Create clear technical documentation, including Engineering Requirement Documents, to transform ideas into actionable engineering plans. Collaborate with application and platform teams to design robust APIs and scalable solutions for internal and future external users. Establish monitoring, error handling standards, and operational practices to ensure long-term platform maintainability. Take ownership of technical challenges, driving solutions from concept through implementation and continuous improvement. Requirements: Strong professional experience with Golang, including building high-performance, concurrent applications designed for scalability. Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining APIs, particularly gRPC services; experience with ConnectRPC is a plus. Solid understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and secure service-to-service communication. Experience implementing or managing identity and authentication systems, including OIDC/OAuth2 providers or comparable technologies. Knowledge of networking concepts and technologies such as service mesh, overlay networking, WireGuard, or similar solutions. Experience designing resilient systems with security considerations, including protection against adversarial traffic and DDoS scenarios. Familiarity with immutable infrastructure principles and modern infrastructure automation practices. Ability to define technical standards, write clear documentation, and translate complex concepts into practical solutions. Strong problem-solving skills, ownership mindset, and ability to work effectively in an early-stage, fast-changing environment. Excellent English communication skills and comfort collaborating with globally distributed teams. Ability to work reliably within LATAM (GMT-3) or Philippines (GMT+8) working hours.
