About The Role This role offers an exciting opportunity to take ownership of core internal platform systems, contributing to their design and development from end to end. As a Software Engineer on the micro Platforms Core team, you will play a crucial role in building and enhancing the internal tools, services, and workflows that support our operations and AI-driven infrastructure at scale. You will be responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that enable our internal teams to operate efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack development, a passion for building robust backend services, and experience working in fast-paced, innovative environments. Qualifications Proven experience in building or contributing to production full-stack systems, preferably within a technology-driven company like SaidGig. Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar. Extensive knowledge of backend development frameworks and tools, including RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud services. Experience with frontend development using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. Solid understanding of database design, data modeling, and query optimization, with experience in SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot production issues effectively. Strong collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, operations, and design. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Responsibilities Design and develop end-to-end full-stack systems that power critical internal workflows and platform capabilities. Build clean, scalable backend services and APIs with clear contracts and ownership. Develop high-quality, performant frontend interfaces for internal teams and stakeholders. Participate in data modeling and optimize database performance through schema design and query tuning. Collaborate closely with product, operations, and design teams to translate ambiguous requirements into scalable systems. Improve platform reliability, observability, and developer experience across internal tooling. Uphold engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement. Help debug and resolve production issues while enhancing operational resilience. Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, scalability, and maintainability in a fast-moving environment.
