Position: Senior AI Platform Engineer – Azure AI & RAG Freelance Job Type: Freelance Work Mode: Remote Experience: 7+ Years About the Role We are looking for an experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate an enterprise AI Serving Layer that powers Microsoft Copilots and Generative AI applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure AI services, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), FastAPI, Databricks, Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, and enterprise security. You will build scalable AI APIs, connect enterprise data sources, and implement secure, production-ready AI architectures. Key Responsibilities Design and build an enterprise AI Serving Layer for GenAI applications. Develop RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines using Azure AI Search and enterprise knowledge bases. Build scalable AI APIs using FastAPI and Python. Integrate Gold Layer data, Cosmos DB, Azure AI Search, and Databricks. Develop AI services consumed by Microsoft Copilot and custom GenAI applications. Build scalable data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark. Manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform and/or Bicep. Implement enterprise security using RBAC, RLS, OLS, and ABAC. Optimize AI inference performance, scalability, and observability. Collaborate with Data Engineering, AI/ML, Platform, and Security teams.
