Accountabilities: The Director of Operational Performance is responsible for designing and executing strategies that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service quality across pharmacy operations. This role leads performance management initiatives, drives continuous improvement, and partners with stakeholders to ensure operational excellence. Lead operational performance strategy across pharmacy operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Drive achievement of key performance targets related to productivity, turnaround times, quality, and service levels. Identify, prioritize, and execute process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and scalability. Establish, monitor, and improve key performance indicators, reporting structures, and performance routines. Support the implementation of technology solutions that improve automation, workflow efficiency, and operational visibility. Partner with cross-functional leaders to execute enterprise initiatives and maximize business impact. Oversee workforce planning, staffing models, and resource optimization strategies. Lead root cause analysis efforts to identify operational challenges and implement sustainable solutions. Manage operational budgets and support achievement of financial efficiency goals. Support transitions and improvements related to pharmacy operating systems and operational platforms. Build strong relationships with operational leaders and influence decision-making through data-driven insights. Lead and develop high-performing teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced operations leader with a strong background in pharmacy environments, performance improvement, and team management. They should have demonstrated success leading complex operations, optimizing workflows, and using data to drive measurable results. Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Healthcare, Business, or a related field required; PharmD preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience and leadership responsibility within pharmacy operations or related healthcare environments. Experience managing high-volume pharmacy processing, fulfillment operations, or technology-enabled healthcare workflows. Proven experience leading multi-unit teams of 100+ employees, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Strong expertise in workflow optimization, operational strategy, and KPI management. Demonstrated ability to analyze performance data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement effective solutions. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive operational accountability. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions. Strong problem-solving abilities and experience managing complex operational challenges. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving healthcare environment.
