DevOps / Infrastructure Engineer

About the job About The Role Vapor Technologies is looking for a DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer to bring dedicated attention to our growing footprint of deployed applications. As our client and SaaS portfolio grows across DigitalOcean, Coolify, and Laravel Cloud, we need a dedicated hand ensuring uptime, security, and smooth deployments across all our production systems. What You'll Do Manage and monitor deployments across DigitalOcean, Coolify, and Laravel Cloud Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for client and SaaS projects Monitor uptime, SSL certificate expiry, and error logs across deployed applications Support incident response and troubleshoot production issues Optimise infrastructure costs and server resource allocation Strengthen security practices across our hosting and deployment stack What We're Looking For Practical experience with DigitalOcean, Docker, and Coolify (or similar self-hosted PaaS tools) Familiarity with Laravel application deployment and infrastructure needs Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows Comfortable with MySQL database administration and backups Security-conscious approach to server and application configuration Note This role can start part-time or as a flexible retainer arrangement given Vapor's current infrastructure scale, with room to grow into a full-time position as our deployed application count increases. This is a remote-friendly role, ideally based in or near Nairobi, Kenya.
