About The Role We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting secure and reliable application delivery within a Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)-aligned landing zone. You will collaborate closely with development, security, and engineering teams to implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and contribute to the development of DevOps standards and cloud engineering practices. This position emphasizes automation, operational efficiency, observability, and platform ownership within enterprise cloud architecture and governance standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud operations, automation, and infrastructure management, with a focus on Azure cloud services. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Minimum of 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, cloud operations, or site reliability engineering, preferably with Azure Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including identity management, networking, and security concepts such as zero trust models Experience designing, implementing, or migrating Azure cloud solutions Proficiency with Azure DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, YAML, and Git-based pipelines Familiarity with Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) environments Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools for performance and incident management Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes) Strong troubleshooting skills across CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and applications Experience supporting hybrid and multi-cloud environments is preferred Understanding of compliance and security frameworks such as CIS, NIST 800-53, and GDPR is advantageous Relevant cloud or DevOps certifications are preferred Responsibilities Receive broad objectives aligned with DevOps and cloud delivery initiatives; independently determine execution approaches within architectural guardrails Collaborate with IT, development, and business stakeholders to enhance infrastructure and delivery pipelines in line with enterprise cloud architecture and DevOps best practices Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and supporting infrastructure to enable reliable application delivery Apply and advance DevOps and cloud operations best practices focused on automation, security, governance, scalability, and reliability Support cloud migration, modernization, and digital transformation initiatives through automated workflows and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Develop and deploy infrastructure and application artifacts using tools such as Terraform, YAML, and Git-based pipelines within a governed enterprise cloud environment Ensure deployments comply with enterprise standards, security controls, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices Improve system performance, reliability, and availability via monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement practices Implement cost monitoring, visibility, and automation to support responsible cloud financial management Stay current with emerging cloud services, DevOps tools, and technologies, evaluating their applicability to improve delivery and operational maturity Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis in collaboration with operational teams Benefits Competitive salary ranging from $116,000 to $147,000, commensurate with experience Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching contributions Paid time off, sick leave, and paid holidays Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development support Discretionary bonuses and performance-based incentives Employee Assistance Program (EAP), wellness initiatives, and employee discounts Equal Opportunity Bowman is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
