About The Role Lockheed Martin is seeking a Full-time Career Level DevSecOps Engineer to join their Rotary & Mission Systems division. This role is integral to maintaining and advancing the company's cloud infrastructure and application deployment processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing on-premises hyperconverged cloud environments, ensuring operational excellence and security compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a high-stakes, fast-paced environment supporting missile defense systems that protect the United States and its allies. The role requires onsite presence at Schriever Space Force Base, located 10 miles east of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to develop, test, and deploy critical defense technologies. Qualifications The ideal candidate must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a government security clearance, including a final Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. They should possess proven experience in Linux and/or Windows Server system administration, along with scripting proficiency in languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible. A relevant certification like Security+ CE or equivalent is required within three months of employment. Desired qualifications include experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab, containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, and familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, RedHat OpenStack, or Nutanix. Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory is also advantageous. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to automation, and a passion for continuous learning in evolving technological environments. Responsibilities The DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure and scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. Key responsibilities include developing and managing automation scripts using Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible to streamline administrative tasks. The role involves creating and managing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of applications. The engineer will oversee container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, implement configuration management strategies, and support virtualization environments. Additionally, they will collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with security standards, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and optimize system performance. The position also entails participating in system testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and security.
