We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift environments to support a critical enterprise platform initiative. The ideal candidate brings a strong container orchestration background combined with hands-on application development experience, enabling them to bridge the gap between infrastructure and development teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, manage, and support applications running on Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
Troubleshoot cluster, pod, networking, storage, configuration, and application-deployment issues.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release management.
Manage container images, deployment configurations, secrets, ConfigMaps, routes, services, and namespaces.
Monitor application and platform performance, availability, capacity, and reliability.
Support application migrations and deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, security, and operations teams.
Implement infrastructure automation and configuration-management practices.
Improve platform reliability through automation, observability, incident analysis, and operational best practices.
Participate in production support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and preventive-action planning.
Ensure deployments comply with enterprise security, governance, and change-management standards.
Required Qualifications:
7 years of experience in a DevOps or platform engineering role.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
Deep knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift cluster architecture, administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Experience deploying and supporting containerised applications in enterprise environments.
Strong understanding of Docker or other container technologies.
Experience with CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines.
Knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift resources: pods, deployments, services, routes, ingress, secrets, ConfigMaps, persistent volumes, and operators.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
Strong understanding of networking, Linux systems, access controls, and production-support processes.
Ability to troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues.
Application Development Experience (at least one stack required):
Java with Spring or Spring Boot, and React
Python with the Django framework
Candidates must be comfortable reviewing application code, diagnosing deployment and runtime issues, and collaborating closely with development teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with the Hydra platform and migrating/deploying applications to Hydra.
Knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, XLR, or similar CI/CD tools.
Familiarity with Helm, Kubernetes operators, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
Experience with Kafka, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Knowledge of application security scanning and DevSecOps practices.
Experience supporting highly available, business-critical production systems.
